Mumbai, May 11 -- Sajid Khan's Housefull, will soon be available on blu-ray discs and DVDs. Khan confirms: "I've just met the team from Eros. I don't know when would they want to bring out the home-videos, but I hope it's soon."
According to Pranab Kapadia, president, distribution (Europe and Africa) Eros, the discs should be out after it's theatrical run. "We intend to bring out the DVD and the Blu-Ray discs within the next 12-14 weeks. We haven't decided the prices, but we'd like to keep them within average costs," says Kapadia.
Khan ensured that Heyy Babyy, his debut film, was also released on Blu-ray in 2007 when the format wasn't popular in India. "It was a risk then, but not now. Regardless of when Housefull is made available, I can promise you that it will be replete with extra shots, behind the scenes and a lot more to ensure that the discs are worth the money," he adds.
Buzz is that the film will also have its satellite premiere on Star Gold. Kapadia confirms: "We signed the deal with Star prior to the release. We were confident that Housefull would have a successful box office run and it was mutually beneficial to engage in a deal before its global theatrical release." He adds that the film will only be shown on TV after it's theatrical run, is over. "That might take four to six months because we plan to bring out the home-videos first.
